This year’s Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed to add even more flexibility to your summer!  The LIT program will run for the full 8 weeks of summer camp this year! You may choose which weeks work for your family’s summer plans or do all 8 weeks.  The LIT experience is designed for rising 7th - 9th graders that want to have a summer of FUN, while learning leadership skills and participating in projects throughout the community. Leaders In Training program will help the teens gain skills, challenge themselves, and learn about ways they can contribute to their community.   The weeks will be filled with general camp F-U-N with a leadership twist.  We will be working on large scale and small scale community projects this summer!  We will also be working to be more involved with our partners on the summer camp side of things- showing what it means to reignite the fun of camp and teach and lead by example.   Past activities have included- Bake Sales: LIT's learned to scale recipes, kitchen operations and sanitation, budgeting, goal setting, marketing and then get baking! The LITs then operated bake sale days in our community.   LITs built Cornhole boards and hosted a corn hole Tournament LITs built benches for the New Gloucester Fair Grounds  LITs will be taking field trips this summer along with the summer camps and we are hoping to arrange a few more as transportation becomes available. This year’s Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed to add even more flexibility to your summer!  The LIT program will run for the full 8 weeks of summer camp this year! You may choose which weeks work for your family’s summer plans or do all 8 weeks.  The LIT experience is designed for rising 7th - 9th graders that want to have a summer of FUN, while learning leadership skills and participating in projects throughout the community. Leaders In Training program will help the teens gain skills, challenge themselves, and learn about ways they can contribute to their community.   The weeks will be filled with general camp F-U-N with a leadership twist.  We will be working on large scale and small scale community projects this summer!  We will also be working to be more involved with our partners on the summer camp side of things- showing what it means to reignite the fun of camp and teach and lead by example.   Past activities have included- Bake Sales: LIT's learned to scale recipes, kitchen operations and sanitation, budgeting, goal setting, marketing and then get baking! The LITs then operated bake sale days in our community.   LITs built Cornhole boards and hosted a corn hole Tournament LITs built benches for the New Gloucester Fair Grounds  LITs will be taking field trips this summer along with the summer camps and we are hoping to arrange a few more as transportation becomes available. The LITs then operated bake sale days in our community.   LITs built Cornhole boards and hosted a corn hole Tournament LITs built benches for the New Gloucester Fair Grounds  LITs will be taking field trips this summer along with the summer camps and we are hoping to arrange a few more as transportation becomes available. We will have the final schedule available mid-May.  LITs will work weekly to learn about leading activities and group supervision.  LITs will then practice their skills by leading groups, with supervision, in games, crafts or camp songs throughout the Summer Camp. This year’s Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed to add even more flexibility to your summer!  The LIT program will run for the full 8 weeks of summer camp this year! You may choose which weeks work for your family’s summer plans or do all 8 weeks.  The LIT experience is designed for rising 7th - 9th graders that want to have a summer of FUN, while learning leadership skills and participating in projects throughout the community. Leaders In Training program will help the teens gain skills, challenge themselves, and learn about ways they can contribute to their community.   The weeks will be filled with general camp F-U-N with a leadership twist.  We will be working on large scale and small scale community projects this summer!  We will also be working to be more involved with our partners on the summer camp side of things- showing what it means to reignite the fun of camp and teach and lead by example.   Past activities have included- Bake Sales: LIT's learned to scale recipes, kitchen operations and sanitation, budgeting, goal setting, marketing and then get baking!
