School’s Out Afternoon Recreation (SOAR) program
The SOAR program is intended for 5th-8th grade children and will provide an after school program, Monday thru Friday, from group 3 dismissal until 5:30pm. Parents will pick up at the GNG middle school by 5:30pm.
Students will come to the SOAR classroom when group 3 dismissal occurs. 15 minutes will be given for snack and welcoming. At that time we will settle into 30 minutes of dedicated homework time, if no homework has been assigned we will spend this time reading. After the 30 minutes we will be outside!! We will utilize the basketball courts, ninja courts, upper and lower fields, Gaga pit, Libby Hill trails, sledding hill, outdoor classroom, etc!! We ask that your children come prepared to be outside in all seasons! We also may have the opportunity to show support for the middle school sports teams or clubs at their home games/meets/performances etc., providing some school and community spirit!
Two options are offered for the SOAR program.
Full time after school care at $120 a week for the school year
Drop in Days (seats limited) $10 hour - this is a great option for those needing part time care, gaps filled before or after clubs and sports, early Release care, or just the occasional day.
