What is Tai Chi??
An ancient chinese meditation that combines slow and deliberate movements, with breathwork, and mindfulness. This ancient practice of moving meditation provides the tools you need to regain your balance; be it physical, emotional, or mental. No experience is required, you won't even break a sweat. Wear comfortable clothing.
About our instructor, Louise Poppema:
Louise began her Tai Chi practice in 1991 with Gene Golden. Gene was a student of William C.C. Chen. Louise continued continued her Ta Chi practice and study independently until she met Master Waysun Liao in 2004. Since then, she has continued to study with Master Liao and certified as a master. Master Liao was born in Taiwan, and trained as a child in the temple system. He was declared a Master at age 21 and came to the United States to teach, founding the Taichitao Center in Oak Park, Illinois.
Louise has been teaching Tai Chi since 2004 through community programs in Gray, Falmouth, Auburn, Cumberland, and Yarmouth and is excited to share her practice in New Gloucester.
