Leaders in Training is back for the Summer of 2022!!

This year’s Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed to add more flexibility to your summer!  The LIT program is 6 weeks long, a minimum of 3 weeks is necessary to make the program meaningful, and you may choose the weeks that work for your family’s summer plans.  The LIT experience is designed for rising 7th - 9th graders that want to have a summer of FUN, while learning leadership skills and participating in projects throughout the community. Leader In Training program will help the teens gain skills, challenge themselves, and learn about ways they can contribute to their community.

The weeks will be filled with general camp F-U-N with a leadership twist.  We will be working on large scale and small scale community projects this summer!  Past activities have included-




  • Bake Sales: LIT's learned to scale recipes, kitchen operations and sanitation, budgeting, goal setting, marketing and then get baking! The LITs then operated bake sale days in our community.   


  • LITs built Cornhole boards and hosted a Cornhole Tournament                 


  • LITs will be taking a few field trips this summer and hoping to arrange a few more as transportation becomes available.  Trips are already planned to Range Pond (x2), NG Fairgrounds, and Portland Sea Dogs. We will have the final schedule available mid-May.                                                             


  • LITs will work weekly with Coach Welch to learn about leading activities and group supervision.  LITs will then practice their skills with his supervision and the Summer Day Camp throughout the summer.

    LIT Program Registration Options:  

    Full Summer: This option is all inclusive; one camp t-shirt, all field trips and ice cream walks, and before and after care.  Campers may be dropped off as early as 8am and picked up as late as 4pm.  $1080.  June 27-August 5. Option for before and aftercare 7:30-8:30 and 4:00-5:30 for an additional $205 for all days student is registered
    Weekly option- Three week minimum at $540 for 3 week package each additional week $220





Calendar- The finalized summer calendar will be released mid May.
