GNG Diamonds Cheer Team
GNG Diamonds is a competitive cheer program for kids in PK - 8th Grade and is in its 22th year of operation. Athletes will receive instruction and training in dance, choreography, and cheering for approximately 7 months. In a typical year, competition season would begin mid February and continue through early April where the athletes would perform at competitions. Competitions can be an all-day affair and if you're new to the program, we encourage you to connect with program staff or other parents to make sure you understand the commitment.
It is important for the adults to know that this program is a competitive, team-based sport. When athletes register, the expectation is that they attend all practices and also communicate illness in a timely manner. Attendance at practice is for the individual and the team. Participants should plan on Saturdays in Feb through 1st week of April for competitions - the 2027 competitions will be listed below. UNIFORMS:
GNG Recreation will loan the uniforms. Participants are required to purchase team sneakers (approx. $60) and are asked to help with fund raising for team bows, socks, awards, and equipment.
PRACTICE:
Will take place at Memorial School. Please remember to drive slowly in the parking lot and to enter on the playground side around the back of the building to drop off on field side of the school.
Practices start 9/15 and continues twice a week (Tues/Thurs) through the first week in April '26. Wednesdays will be the flex day if needed. Please block Wednesdays off on your schedule as well.

Team Fees:
The payments are set up as an autopay starting September 1st of $55 a month for 7 payments (deposit is 1 payment). This includes approximately 50 practices, at least 6 competitions, a team t-shirt, awards, and choreographed routines/music.
$55 is due to hold your spot. If you choose not to pay your team fee in full, a $55 per month autopay will be set up. The default plan is to collect $55 each month until the fees are paid in full.

GNG Diamonds is excited to offer the parent exhibition team again this season. Interested parents should register below and Becky will share details about competitions as they get closer. Registration includes practice time, competition fees and a t-shirt!
