Gymnastics is a great activity to build strength, balance, and flexibility while having a blast and meeting new friends!  Coaches will guide participants through warm-up, stretching and strength-building with a focus on proper technique.  These classes help build a solid foundation for any athletic pursuit, but especially cheering.

In Gymnastics, athletes will work on body positioning, strength, tumbling, balance beam, and bars.

Cheer tumbling will focus on the progressions, strength and repetition of tumbling skills.  This is a great preparation for competitive cheering.

What should we bring/wear?
Participants may wear leotards or similar, but they are not required.  Form fitting clothing is helpful to avoid injuries while being spotted.  Hair should be tied up in a ponytail or bun.  Bring a waterbottle and an extra hair tie.

Our classes will follow distancing, sanitation, and face covering protocols as suggested by the CDC and Reopening Checklists as they roll out.  At this time, kids will wear masks upon entering and sanitize their hands.  Once Coach is ready for athletes and is ready to space them out, masks may be removed and only athletes will be allowed in the gym during the classes.  (Updated 9/2/21)

If you have further questions about these protocols, please reach out. These protocols and situations with COVID-19 in Maine have continued to change quickly.  We will update you if there are any changes to our protocol and we appreciate your cooperation with these changes.
